Type of hunting

STALKING is the only type of hunting allowed, without dogs and with a rifle. The average distance for a shot is 150/200 metres.

Equipment

The outer garments should be Gore-Tex if possible

  • Mountain boots
  • Shirt, long woolen socks, gloves.
  • Gorse resistant trousers.
  • Hat
  • Kerchief for the neck
  • Windcheater
  • Macintosh
  • Binoculars

Firearms and ammunition

The obligatory weapon is the rifle, the 7mm RM bore being highly recommended or, failing that, the 300 Winmag. It should have semi-soft points weighing between 150 and 180 grains. It is essential to have a variable zoom sight, up to twelve and with extreme brightness.
